Two of the top Texas franchises, Texas Wings Inc. (owners of the Hooters restaurants) and Chanticleer Holdings, Inc. entered into an agreement for Chanticleer to buy 45 of the Hooters branded restaurants. Chanticleer paid approximately $106 million for the acquisition, including $53 million in cash, $37 million in Chanticleer common shares and a $16 million convertible seller's note. Chanticleer expects to take in over $200 million in annualized revenue. Some individuals considering purchasing a restaurant franchise business opted instead to become a WSI business consultant.
