By taking out a franchise loan package, instead of just a straight loan, you will find that it covers more than simply the set up or purchase fee. It will generally cover all start up costs, which includes franchise fees – or the cost of ‘buying’ the franchise, and also, equipment, inventory, build-out, working capital, fixtures and so on. This will mean that you have everything you need to start up right away and begin running your new franchise. The loan package will have provided the funds for all you need to ‘hit the ground running’. Many loan companies will provide a complete franchise loan package, but you will need phone around to find the one that gives the best deal, arrangements and repayment plan. It may also be worth having an attorney or accountant look over any franchise loan paperwork that comes with the packages too, to ensure you understand all the small print.
