The FTC franchise rule simply states that the franchisor is responsible for providing any potential franchisee with written disclosures about the business and then give them at least ten business days to review the disclosure before investing in the business. The FTC franchise rule is meant to help prevent franchisees from getting scammed or being given false claims or information before investing in a business.
