As with most assembly-based professions, this is one field that has been seeing the sting of outsourcing to other countries. There are still some companies that will offer piece work, but only the ones with smaller items for assembly will offer piece work from home. The most ideal places to locate this form of work is Wahm.com or sites like this where the site is striving to help those that are in situations where working outside of the house is hard.
